1. A Sister’s Heartfelt Letter: Winter in the Mountains

"Dear Amerand,
              I don't remember the last time I saw your smile and pinkish nose, which was probably due to the cold of winter  in our small village... Do you remember winters here in the deep, deep mountain village? The way snow falls and sunshine make it so bright that even the  brightest fires cannot match? Do you remember how all the kids dance together in the snow and run around?? Do you remember us in the snow making snow angels??
              I hope you do... Because I do remember all of that and waiting to experience it once more when you will come back home.
              You know this winter aunt Elly found a small deer in the woods, probably parents were killed by hunters. So small and shaky he was. I have never seen such a cute baby before. You know well that deers are rare here. Thanks to those hunters from West of the mountain.
              Anyhow that's not the point this baby is unique, he is white with dark brown spots in his body and a couple of darker lines on the back, his eyes are deep blue like water in the well near the pine that's at the crows rock. This baby is the real magic of mother nature. He is not afraid of anyone, he likes people.
              I am just really waiting to see you back soon and show you this beautiful snow-white with blue eyes. I feel that this kiddo will bring us something big and special.
              Soon the snow will melt, and everything will bloom, covering the wide mountain range in flowers and berries. Our garden will be as always colored in colors of the rainbow. I am waiting to find that special flower for you, brother, to protect you and remind you of the days spent here. Flower from the valley story.
